Deconstruction Services

Sustainable Warehouse devotes much of its time to stripping reusable items from buildings that are about to undergo demolition or renovation.  The salvaged items are then available for sale to builders and to the public.

A full deconstruction involves a complete teardown of an existing structure. In contract to a "demolition" which tosses nearly everything into a dumpster (and then a landfill), a "deconstruction" focuses on saving as many materials as possible for reuse. Careful attention is paid to removing cabinetry, flooring, staircases, windows and virtually any other item that can be reused and alleviate the strain on Lowcountry landfills.

Deconstruction Q&A
