Sustainable Warehouse devotes much of its time to stripping reusable items from buildings that are about to undergo demolition or renovation.  The salvaged items are then available for sale to builders and to the public. 

Sustainable Warehouse is in the process of seeking a permanent warehouse location to sell the items they salvage from various projects in the Lowcountry. Until then items for sale are available for viewing in the Online Warehouse Store and can be arranged for delivery or pickup.

Rebecca O'Brien

O’Brien holds a Building Deconstruction Certification from the Building Materials Reuse Association.  She also sits on the Charleston Green Committee’s Recycle Subcommittee, the USGBC (US Green Building Council) Lowcountry Steering Committee and is the USGBC’s Lowcountry Chapter’s Programs Chair.

Says O’Brien, “At Sustainable Warehouse we believe that reusing building materials is a viable alternative to using new ones.  We believe we owe our environment and our children access to this eco-friendly option.”
